I write about a wide variety of topics in News Review, the comment and features part of the Sunday Times: I tend to focus on Social Affairs - particularly around women, parenting, social mobility, what to do about on-line porn, the new mores of a world of bread-winner wives

In the Sunday Times magazine I write long-form pieces including interviews with Banksy, Jamie Oliver, Claire Danes, Susan Boyle and Emma Watson, major investigations -I broke some of the first stories in the UK about the effect of online porn on teenage brains. I also got inside access into the world of Samantha Cameron in the aftermath of the tragic death of their young son

In the Sunday Times Home section I write a weekly column about the way we live now, where I visit a house and muse about modern life

On Mumsnet I have been blogging about my battle with my own weight and how that influences my attitude to food as a mother

I am the editor of Cupcakes and Kalashnikovs: 100 years of the best journalism by women published by Constable (and on lots of academic reading lists)
